Ambassadors assured of opposition leaders safety

Efforts by the Government of Zimbabwe to maintain rule of law have been commended by European Union and United States Ambassadors Zimbabwe who say it will bring harmony amongst Zimbabweans. 

Speaking after meeting with Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister, Hon. Dr. Lt. General (Rtd.) S.B. Moyo this Friday morning, five Ambassadors expressed satisfaction with government plan to institute an enquiry into the disturbances that rocked the streets of Harare on August 1, as well as the urgent trial and subsequent granting of bail to opposition leader, Tendai Biti.
