The third session of the Zimbabwe-South Africa Bi-National Commission opened in Harare Thursday morning with a meeting of senior officials which called for vigorous implementation of bilateral agreements between the two countries.
President E.D Mnangagwa and his Botswana counterpart Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi held a Bi-National Commision (BNC) at Meikles Hotel in Harare to further strengthen economic relation between the two countries.
The Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ambassador James Manzou met with his Botswana counterpart Mr .Gaeimelwe Goitsmang at Meikles Hotel in the capital Monday morning where they made their welcome remarks on the ongoing inaugural session of the Zimbabwe and Botswana Bi-National Commission (BNC).
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Lt General (Rtd) Dr S.B Moyo met with the Japanese business delegation at his Munhumutapa offices Monday evening. The Minister welcomed his guests and thanked the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) for organizing such a big business mission to the country.

It was with profound grief and shock that the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Hon. Dr. Lt. Gen. (Rtd) S.B. Moyo, the Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ambassador J. Manzou and the entire staff learnt of the sad passing on of Ambassador Samuel Chihondo Mhango, Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Sweden in Harare in the evening of 27th January 2019. On behalf of the Ministry we wish to express our deepest and most sincere condolences to H.E. the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Cde E.D. Mnangagwa, Mrs Mhango and family and Government and People of Zimbabwe on this tragic and untimely loss.
Zimbabwe and International music icon, Dr Oliver Mtukudzi has been declared a National Hero, the first local musician to get that recognition. H.E. the President, Cde. Emmerson Mnangagwa announced the conferment when he visited superstar’s home in Norton yesterday to pay his condolences.
From Monday the 14 the of January to Monday the 22nd of January 2019, President Emmerson Mnangagwa undertook an engagement and reengagement visit to four Eastern European countries, namely the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. The tour was aimed at consolidating and solidifying the engagement process that the President has outlined as the focus of his Foreign Policy under the Second Republic. The visits provided an opportunity translate the excellent political ties into mutually beneficial economic ties.
